If you’ve ever wanted to drill & fill your wishbones here is the tubing to get it done. The wishbone pictured is from my T-Bucket that I drilled and welded up a few years back shown on 1932-36 wishbones.
I’ve selected ODs that are common to fractional hole saws. I kept an consistent decrease on the IDs to give it a nice “big to little” look. This was achieved by varying the wall thickness of the A513 tubing. All tubing is .120 or .095 wall.
Tubing is cut to 2in +/- in height. The best way to do this is to drill and champher the holes wide. when you weld you are welding to the side of the tube and into the wishbone offering full penetration and no chance of melting down edges and making a mess. This is how it’s done.
OD hole saws needed are
1.750, 1.500, 1.375, 1.250, 1.125, 1.00, 0.875.
Hole saws are carbon steel Morse USA made. the price can’t be beat 1/2 the price of a diablo at Home Depot and these are USA made in Ohio !!!
